Announcing the FIRST EVER integration of its kind!!!!

At ShootDotEdit, our goal is to cure the pain of post production for professional photographers. And, many of you have told us that eliminating steps along the way in your workflow would be a huge help. With that in mind, we have integrated our system with the image hosting site Zenfolio! (insert Zenfolio description here).

With this integration comes some great benefits for YOU!
Zenfolio photographers can now add the SHOOTDOTEDIT package to their yearly plan. For $50/year, Zenfolio photographers will receive the following:
– ALL images submitted for color processing will receive FREE processing to JPG (normally $0.04/image)!
– ANY order (image processing or album design) will receive 10% off!

2. ShootDotEdit will gain the ability to securely store your Zenfolio credentials, which makes for an easy and quick upload of your completed job.

If you’d like more information on Zenfolio, click here.
And, to sign up for Zenfolio, or the SHOOTDOTEDIT package, click here.

Our newest partnership….Album Exposure!

posted in Partners

Friday, August 20, 2010

ate last year, we realized that we needed to be providing Album Design to all of our photographers.  The natural progression of post production takes you straight from image editing to album design.  And, we wanted to continue to remove the pain caused by post production!  So, in March we launched our Album Design service.

BUT …. How do we showcase your album designs?  Sure, we send you the .pdf files.  Or, we could create some preview software that would get the job done.  But all of this seemed ridiculous …. We wanted to just partner with the best.  And we’ve done it.

Announcing our partnership and integration with Album Exposure!  Known for their simple and elegant album proofing system, our partnership allows you to not only get a great album design, but elegant proofing straight to your client.  With Album Exposure, you can take a ShootDotEdit album design, and preview it straight to your client.  Any and all changes they request are seen in real time by both you and ShootDotEdit, and changes are quick and easy!  Because of this partnership, you’ll have the opportunity to proof 2 Designs with Album Exposure for absolutely FREE!

So how about giving it a try?  Through the end of the week, we’re offering 30% OFF album design services!  Just use code: AEandSDE

We have a new BFF! Album Exposure.

Friday, August 6, 2010

ShootDotEdit Design is officially announcing its partnership with Album Exposure.
Album Exposure is a simple & elegant album proofing software that is unlike any other.
The interface is easy and intuitive.  And, to top it all off, it SAVES LOTS OF TIME!!!!

This unique integration between ShootDotEdit and Album Exposure is going to enable professional
photographer’s to streamline and expedite their album design work flow process in a way that has never before been possible.
Imagine, if you as a photographer had ONLY 2 steps in the process:

Step 1:  submit your images to ShootDotEdit for album/book design
Step 2:  deliver a finished wedding album to your customer

Obviously, based on the degree that a photographer wants to be hands on, there are plenty of options and choices
that allow the photographer to participate.    The bottom line is this:  it is streamline, cost effective, and simple.

To read more about Album Exposure, CLICK HERE.
And, of course, if you would like to know more about ShootDotEdit and our Album Design Process, CLICK HERE.

We’ll see you around the way, and cheers to no more design or editing!

Well, it’s Friday :)   And, usually, we try and do a healthy round of donuts + coffee in the a.m.   And, well, Chris (our Shipping/Receiving guy) went for the gusto today and brought in a flying saucer disguised as a donut!  LOLOLL!!!  Happy Friday everyone.  PS, this was shot on a high-end 1st generation G1 phone that delivers about .05 megapixels per image.  Ahhh to the yeah!

posted in News

Monday, May 31, 2010

Hi everyone,

Over the next couple of months you are going to SEE and EXPERIENCE a whole-lotta game changing service introductions here at ShootDotEdit.
These changes are coming as a result of our customer feedback/wants/needs along with the growing changes and needs of the pro photo community.  We can’t wait to share!

In the meanwhile, for those of you have abandoned the time consuming and money demanding protocol of sending your jobs via SNAIL MAIL (ie.  FedEx, USPS, UPS, Walk-In , etc.),  you are going to LOVE this.  Starting June 1, 2010, if you are submitting using our WEB UPLOADER and want ‘RAW Color Correction ONLY’ service, you will no longer be charged a ‘Shipping & Handling’ Fee!!!!
THAT IS RIGHT!!!  See ya later, buh-bye.

To confirm: If you submit your job via our Web Uploader and request RAW Color Correction Only (do not need ShootDotEdit to do anything else), we will no longer charge you our standard $10 or $15 Shipping & Handling Fee.  We will simply complete your order, .ZIP up y our XMP’s and email them right back to you!  Not sure how to marry your XMP’s to your original data?  If you are a LightRoom user, CLICK HERE.  If you are a Bridge user, CLICK HERE.

For those of you who are submitting small ‘portrait’ OR ‘e-session’ jobs, this will provide you in some cases 50% in SAVINGS!!!!  So, don’t hold back!  We have NO MINIMUM requirements on jobs.  If you have any questions or need help with anything, just CLICK HERE and let us know what is on your mind!

Cheers to no more Editing or Album Design,

ShootDotEdit

  • Paul Crawford: Yes!!! Brilliant news... Thank you (06.02.2010 02:34am)
  • Shawn Rodgers: I think ShootDotEdit really is defining the future of photography. I love the idea. Do you have a "RAW -Full- Correction ONLY" xmp service? Finished images, that the photographer can alter in a RAW editor (i.e. Lightroom)? The idea of selecting a portion of the images from a wedding to rework as "signature images" and posting the rest as received from ShootDotEdit is appealing. Thanks. Keep up the exciting stuff! (06.04.2010 10:06pm)
  • admin: Hey Shawn! In response to your question, "Do you have a “RAW -Full- Correction ONLY” xmp service?", the answer is absolutely, yes, and yes! (06.07.2010 11:34am)
